Strong women need courage and a red dress!

|

Caroline Criado Perez chose to wear my red dress Cassandra when instating the first female statue- Millicent Fawcett- in Parliament Square.  She  (1847 – 1929) was a leading Suffragist and campaigner for equal rights for women. She led the biggest suffrage organisation, the non-violent (NUWSS) from 1890-1919 and played a key role in gaining women the vote.

An incredible moment in history and incredible moment for me.

Over 4 years ago I launched my collection with 7 red dresses and strong women were and are my inspiration for my dress designs. So, seeing it all coming together was amazing to see.

You can see the red dress and all of my other designs at my Pop up store in the Ham Yard Village.
