Michaela Jedinak in ” FEMALE ENTREPRENEURS, the secret of their success”- where she shares lessons learned and their beliefs what it takes to be an entrepreneur. She is one of many female entrepreneurs discussing her road to success.
A wonderful aspect of this book is that all entrepreneurs started different businesses and as well at a different age and still we all share a similar mindset, outlook and will to do whatever it takes to make it work.
One of the book chapters she was interviewed for was on sacrifices:
” Being an entrepreneur is like training to be an Olympic champion- you are in it for the long run.
You have to work hard and train hard, and you have to do different things to succeed. You have to find funding and support, deal with injuries, and make sacrifices.
You can’t go to all of your friend’s parties and holidays and do all the fun stuff.
And not everyone who trains to become an Olympic champion actually becomes an Olympic Champion. ”
Another book chapter was on the importance of being resilient and determined even when it is tough:
“We are living in a time where things are changing constantly so you need to adapt and refocus.
It’s like Darvin’s law. The person who survives is not the strongest and fittest, but the one who adapts the most to his environment.
Often things happen you don’t know what to do, you don’t know how this is going to fall and you feel quite paralysed. But you have to keep moving.
You can’t stop, you can’t give up.
Winners never quit because winners never quit and quitters never win. It is all about persevering and find the strength to keep going!”
It is a great book to get insights knowledge on what it takes to be an entrepreneur.
